Being able to Find the Best Emeralds

There are so many things to consider when looking for emeralds. Perhaps one way of understanding the importance of emeralds is to understand the history behind the gemstone. The word emerald comes from the Greek work ‘smargarados’ which literally means green stone. These green gem stones have been an integral part of many different cultures and continue to be worn by women and men alike.

Throughout history these stones have been considered to be one of the holy stones and it was even thought that they were present in the breastplates that Aaron wore. There have been three cultures that have taken their love for the emerald to a new level. The Egyptians, Incas and Spanish have all had an extreme fascination with the gemstone. These stones were used for a number of things in all of these cultures.

Today the fascination continues all over the world and emerald earrings are quickly becoming one of the most coveted purchases. The best emerald earrings can be found in a number of places. They even offer some options for finding these in local retail stores, private jewelers or even large scale chain jewelry stores. Each person who considers this purchase should know what to look for in finding the best purchase for your money.

One thing that has been noted about emeralds is that tend to be something that is enjoyed by those who see them as much as those who wear them. This is because it has been proven that psychologically the color of emeralds is both easy on the eyes and soothing for those who are viewing it. Emeralds typically are one of the more expensive gemstones and finding the best emerald earrings can be difficult.

To find a high quality gemstone it can be somewhat difficult as they are kind of rare. You can figure out how old the emeralds are by looking at the bubbles in the emerald as there are more bubbles with older gemstones. Bubbles do not change the value of the emerald however the value changes by looking at the green color. The more green the gemstone is the more money it is worth.
